The BAYSIDE Hotel opened in 2014 in Scharbeutz on the Baltic Sea coast. The Egcotritt stair landing bearings ensure the soundproofed connection of the balcony slab.
The four-star hotel in the Bay of Lübeck offers its guests a resort that combines recreation with fresh design and innovative concepts.
The complex includes 132 rooms and suites, all with balconies or terraces, seven function rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and seating for up to 300 people, 2 restaurants with sea views, cocktail bar, large roof terrace and a 1,500 m² spa.
The building, with a floor area of 4,100 square meters, a basement and ground floor and five upper storeys, stands on a 7,000 square meter site. The 40 m long, jointless balcony slabs were connected to the building shell with Egcotritt impact sound insulating shear force dowels. As well as achieving optimum impact sound values, they can absorb major horizontal deformations of the balcony slab resulting from temperature changes. Due to the cramped installation situation, the Egcotritt anchor body has been adapted to the on-site reinforcement layout.
When writing up the tender documents, the planners focused on resistance to reinforcement corrosion by chlorides from the seawater. The high-quality materials of Egcotritt enable its use in exposure class XS1 (durability in saline air in the immediate coastal area) and were the deciding factor in awarding the contract for the impact sound insulated shear force dowel.
The following MAX FRANK products were used:
180 custom Egcotritt dowels with modified anchor body
100 Egcodorns, 200 Egcodubel, 100 Egcobox® custom elements
