To avoid complex formwork and reinforcement in the area of the expansion joints in the concrete construction, the client decided on the Egcodorn^® WN and WQ (DIBt approval Z-15.7-301) shear force dowels. These shear force dowels are used with very high static loads. The construction of the Egcodorn shear force dowel enables transmission of the highest shear forces, even with minimal component dimensions. The unique corrosion protection system and the use of high quality materials guarantee maximum durability.
Extra fire protection requirements were imposed on this construction project. The Egcodorn^® execution with fire protection collar and mineral wool perfectly meets these requirements.

Product information about the shear force dowel connection:

• Egcodorn^® WN
  The Egcodorn^® is moveable along the centre axis and allows displacements in the direction of the longitudinal dowel axis. The dowels must be carefully arranged in the direction of displacement and aligned in parallel with each other.
  
• Egcodorn^® WQ
  If displacements occur both along and laterally to the dowel axis, the laterally displaceable Egcodorn^® must be used. The Egcodorn^® WQ should be used in the case of curved component edges or longer joint lengths.
