In Schwaz, the district capital in the province of Tyrol in Austria, the Schwaz Urban 2020 real estate project is under construction.
The building for housing, commerce, culture and childcare is under construction on a circa 10,000m2 plot at the Schwaz train station. The multi-purpose building boasts a special feature – a 48m high tower with a sky bar. In addition, 80 apartments, over 300 parking spaces with car-sharing facilities, office and commercial space as well as a childcare facility will be offered.
For the project, MAX FRANK Austria supplied Stremaform® stay-in-place formwork for working joints and Egcobox® balcony connectors for thermal separation of reinforced concrete cantilever slabs.
For the balcony connections, the Egcobox® cantilever connectors were supplied in a rock wool version, while the Egcobox® Combi element type was used for the façade elements. The unique combination of two insulating materials in one product convinces with a significantly improved thermal insulation compared to the design with conventional fire protection plates. The Combi-Element meets the requirements of the highest fire protection class REI 120.
